1. Controller identity

GamingCenter is the controller for personal data processed through the website, dashboards, partner tools, support flows, wallet features, and Discord-linked marketplace services.

Contact details for the data controller are listed in the Impressum.

2. Categories of personal data

GamingCenter may process account data, profile data, partner application data, booking and session records, wallet and payment status records, support messages, review and moderation data, Discord identifiers where a user links Discord, and security or fraud-prevention data needed to keep the marketplace reliable.

3. Purposes and legal bases

Processing is used to create and maintain accounts, operate bookings and payouts, provide Discord-linked session delivery, enforce platform rules, prevent abuse, respond to support requests, and maintain audit records.

Depending on the workflow, the legal basis may be contract performance, legitimate interests in running a secure marketplace, compliance with legal obligations, or consent where consent is specifically requested.

4. Processors and recipients

Personal data may be shared with infrastructure, hosting, database, email, payment, analytics, and communication providers that act as processors or service providers for GamingCenter.

Where Discord-linked features are used, Discord account identifiers and operational role or session-channel data may also be processed to deliver the booked service and progression features.

Current processors include: Vercel (web hosting and edge delivery), Railway (backend infrastructure and database), Stripe (payment processing), Discord Inc. (session delivery and community role management, where Discord-linked features are used), Resend (transactional email delivery), PostHog (product analytics, EU data region, collected only after explicit consent), and Crisp (customer support chat). Analytics data is only collected after explicit user consent.

5. Retention and deletion

GamingCenter retains personal data for the following periods: account data for as long as the account is active plus 2 years after deletion; booking and payment records for 10 years to satisfy statutory accounting obligations; session logs and moderation records for 3 years; analytics events (PostHog) for 12 months. Waitlist data is retained until a user either receives access or requests removal.

Users may request deletion of their account and associated data at any time through the privacy centre. Deletion requests are reviewed manually and completed within 30 days as required by GDPR Article 17. Profile content, messages, and identifying data are removed; records needed for legal obligations, dispute resolution, or fraud prevention may be retained in anonymised or minimal form.

6. User rights

Users have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port their personal data, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Users may also lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

To exercise these rights, contact privacy@gamingcenter.gg. Requests will be acknowledged within 72 hours and fulfilled within 30 days.
